Client Office Program
With this program the user can view and manage the field data in a number of ways. For more information on the Client/Office Program, send us a request

There are eight selections on the Task Bar:

Click File:

  • New: Allows user to create a new file
  • Open: Mudlog files available to view in Mainlog directory.
  • SendFile: Zips the log, header, and report files into the Mainlog/sendfile directory
  • Save as: Saves the well as a different filename
  • Go to Depth: Allows user to go to any depth on the log.
  • Page Setup: Selects paper size, paper source and printer
  • Print...: Choices for Log Printout
    • a) Select start and end depth of print job
    • b) Log scale to print: [1", 2", 5"] per 100 ft. or 1/2 scale log @ 2.5"/100 ft.
    • c) Rate and Gas Line Style: Blocked or Point to Point
    • d) Header : Full or Short Style
    • e) Choices of Color Print, DOS Print (wide format only) & Narrow Format
    • f) Draws Tops Marker

  • Exit program

Click View:

Click Options:

  • Add Note: User can place notes/tops in text box on the log
  • Offset ROP: Import drill time from offset mudlog for correlating
  • Gas As Percent of Total: Graphical display of each gas as a per cent of the summation of actual chromatograph readings
  • Save Reports as Text: Reports are converted to a text file for exporting
  • Create LAS File: Data is converted to certified Log ASCII File
  • Other options: Append file depth or adjust file depth. (Shifts whole file depth to match E-log depth)

Click Setup:

  • Lines & Scales: To change log presentation on monitor.
    • a) Log scales can be viewed as 1", 2", 5" / 100 ft
    • b) Rate Line Style can be either Blocked or Point to Point (min/ft. or ft/ar.)
    • c) Gas Line Style can be either Blocked or Point to Point
    • d) Select Drill Rate and Gas Scales
    • e) Draws tops markers
    • f) Alternate format puts the descriptions to the far right. ROP, Lithology, and Gas are side by side
    • g) Highlight drill rates below x min/ft.
  • Sw: After importing E-log curves, you can change Rw, a, and m figures in the "Archie Equation" for calculating water saturations. This can be done for specific detph intervals.

Click Tops:

  • Tops: This feature allows the user to add and edit formation tops. You can click and drag on the tops marker line and subsea will automatically be calculated at that depth. It is also possible to import tops from one well to another for quick entries on offset wells.

Click Schemes:

  • Schemes: After importing E-log curves to the mudlog file, the user can turn on or off any data type contained in the log or E-log curve file. You can name the "data set" and these curves will be displayed when the named scheme is selected. If the values for the density, porosity and deep resistive are imported, the water saturation will be calculated and added to the file. BVW will also be calculated. The calculation is made using default values for Rw, a, and m. However, these values can be changed by selecting Sw from the setup menu. From the Sw Setup you can also select different values for different intervals.

Click Import:

  • Import: This feature gives you the ability to import E-log LAS Files and mudlog ROP. After importing E-log curves, you can go to Schemes and select the curves to be displayed on the screen. Curves that can be displayed are Gamma, Density and Neutron porosity, Crossplot porosity, Sonic, SP, PE, Resistivity, SW and Bulk Volume of water.
